I attended workshop G of the Promising Practices conference and it was a very good and informing workshop. I really liked the presenter and the way he presented the material. It included songs from popular artists and how the popular media influences life in America. He shows that the media and pop culture such as hip-hop and rap used to influence life in a good way, talking about life and living through hard times. But, nowadays rap artists are somewhat banned from saying exactly what they want to say and the words and songs put on their albums are read by their record labels and if they don't want something to be heard, they can take it off the album. it goes more deep than than but what I really wanted to post up was this video that he showed. He said that the video will speak for itself and I think it really does.

Do you think this video relates to what Christensen was arguing in his article about how the media influences thoughts?

Is there any articles that we have read the later part of the semester that you think this could relate to?
